Payless did answer with some examples in another thread and it got deleted.

Agreed but look at it in a different context - those users payless quoted were myself and another forum user - inter-promotion - a bit different to what I was doing

There is another side to this though,

How does the poster know that we do not have a reciprocal intorducer agreement with the firm being recommended?

If I were to recommend a brokerage local to me I would half expect the thought to cross the minds of some.

Not for one minute saying it is the case or saying I agree with either viewpoint merely offering another perspective, and for this reason I think it easier to simply not offer up such information and give reason for adding fuel to a hopefully diminishing fire.

I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Why have a code of conduct if it is not adhered to,and I also agree with your distracting comment.

  • I would understand your viewpoint andrew, if the firm I was recommending WAS local to me, but as it happens, its about 40 miles away.
