npower dual fuel final bill, anyone had one can advise me?
hiya i left npower in april, ive had a final bill from them which states its for the gas. this came with a cheque for £29.
however im still waiting for my final electric bill, i called them and the advisor said, as its dual fuel they just transfered what was left over on the electric to pay off the gas and the bill i got was my final bill.
however on the final gas bill i have, it says if you are a dual fuel customer you will recieve a seperate final bill for each account?
i only ask as i had been paying a wopping £192 direct debit to them and the last time i called with meter readings to check on how much i had spent i was told after taking the charges for fuel i was nearly £300 in credit and that was in jan.

I had this on the first bill which was electric, credit was transferred to the second bill which was gas. The gas bill stated that the credit would be sent in the form of a cheque. It also had the same wording re duel fuel as the electric!0

            Hi blueye
When you called us in January with your meter readings, had you received an up to date bill? The £300 credit which was mentioned to you may have been calculated before we had any actual meter readings from you?
It's definitely worth checking out for you - would like us to take a look into this for you? If so, just pop your details to forumresponse@npower.com and I'll get on to it right away.
 Thanks

Hi blueye - You are entitled to, and must insist on getting, a Final Electric bill that lists the meter readings, dates and tariff charges, otherwise you cannot check that your n'power End Readings co-incide with the Start Readings of your new supplier.
Also, only with detailed bills of Gas & Elec are you are able to establish that n'powers £29 cheque is true to the total credit owed on these accounts - Remember that this is n'power !0

just got off the phone to npower, i stopped my £192 dd in jan as was leaving in feb electirc went in feb but there was a problem with the gas so only moved last month so ive been told.
Asked where my final elec bill was said it got sent out in feb? will send another.
the guy on the phone said they transfered what was left on elec over to gas he said ther was £192
Gas bill was £90.95 and was from months 03/11-04/11 so the sums dont add up as i only got £30 back.
the last bill i got was from the 01/10-07-10 so i have no account of the months 08/10-02/11 which id quite like if am entitled to it? then maybe i could see where the rest of the moneys gone can i ask for it?0

Yes you can and should ask for copies of all bills/statements between whatever dates you want.0
