Best Offer

Can anyone advise me please?
I am looking at an item which is almost £200 on BIN but it is also being sold for best offer. How much does one take off the BIN price?
Thanks.

  • Depends on the seller! I'd probably try an offer of about £170.

depends how much you want to pay, put an offer in...they either accept or decline...you can always try a higher offer if they dont take it...
  • i think you're allowed a max of 4 offers if rejected.......

Only the one offer (well, unless you have 4 user IDs!)

As a seller in a competitive product group, an offer has to be very close to the BIN for me to even look at it. Anything less than 90% will be declined (unless I'm in a VERY good mood) - around half will buy at full price after being declined.
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.

dont know which categories...but it says...
The number of offers you are allowed to make per item is limited based on the category where the item is listed. If you are making a Best Offer on an item that allows only one Best Offer, the following message appears on the Submit Best Offer page: “Make this offer your Best Offer. You can only make 1 offer on this item.”

For items listed in categories which have a higher limit on the number of Best Offers, sellers may reject your offer and invite you to submit a new Best Offer with a revised price.

I offered £250 for a ring which was £385 on BIN and got it - you never know unless you try.

It's strange. It's also a little annoying that the bidder's ID is partly hidden so a seller can't reply with a note saying what sort of offer they might consider.
I once got an offer of £10 for an item I'd listed at £14.99. Since offers last for 2 days before they expire unless accepted or rejected in the meantime (or unless the item ends in less than 2 days), I decided to wait and see if I got a better offer. The same buyer bought it at £14.99 about a day later.
I've also had really cheeky offers. No, I won't take 50p for a £6.99 item!
