VENT/PRAISE - My husband and decorating!

First of all may I just say that I am very grateful that my husband has booked the week off to spruce up the flat :T, and that I wish I was able to help him but unfortunately I am not able to...:( He's not done this before because I normally decorate, and he never did it when he was living at home bcause his mum did it.
BUT
He's doing my nut in!!! Day one, and I've come home from work to a bomb site!!! I know this is to be expected but aaarrrgggghhhh
Everything is covered in dust. including the three washloads I did over the weekend - the daft man didn't think to put a dust sheet over them so they'll need to be washed all over again
He didn't know you couldn't use a roller to apply gloss paint until he tried it on the bathroom door and it left big clumps of roller all over it :rotfl:Poor soul had stripped and primed it really well, but at least it's not a huge mistake to make and he can try again tomorrow.
He also didn't know that you had to clean gloss brushes with white spirit...
He's not very good at the edging (that's normally my job) so he's just rammed the roller as far as it will go against the wall. Of course this has left big paint blobs all over the adjacent wall so hes having to wipe everything down afterwards.
As it's getting late he has declared he wont be priming the bathroom skirting boards, and has just proceeded to slap the gloss on.
It's driving me crazy and this is likely to go on until Sunday
I did explain rather politely that I would prefer him to do one or two rooms and do them well, rather than bodge them all but I think he's made it a matter of pride to complete it all before the weekend is through...
I know it's not very MSE but I'm seriously wishing we'd just paid someone to come in and blitz the place, I'm not sure I can bite my tongue all week! Bless him, he's trying really hard to make it all nice but I can see myself losing my temper with him before the week is through, and the poor soul is only trying to make things nice for me and the baby.:o
Please grant me the patience to realise that this is a short term issue, and also remind myself that my husband is doing his best to make our home lovely!

Get yer sen out lass, you can't live in that mess, grab yer bag and get down the 7-11, and stuff yourself with chocolate.
And take the paint brush off your hubby before it all ends up ugly0
