may explain the fact that this is gonna be extremely difficult to find tomorrow....

Couldn't sleep so thought I'd give this a go and went to tesco at 4am. The 2 pallets full off Easter eggs that were there at 8pm lastnight were gone. So guess it's the staff that will be getting 1p Easter eggs. So don't rush to your tescos0

Hi all,
I know it may frustrate some as to why one Tesco has loads of 1p and another none....... the reason for this is just how Tesco as a company deals with the end of seasonal stock.
After the final reductions to customers (75% off) it reduces to 1p to clear the stock without afftecting the stores waste budget. So its just a financial mechanism.
The stores then should then bin the stock but some store managers prefer to donate or sell to staff if it is a non-perishable item. It is up to each store manager what the ruling is in each store as long as it is not sold to customers, I do know that is is often binned to prevent collusion
It should never stricly speaking be sold to a customer however as you all know it may slip through! The stores with inexperienced managers tend to be where you'll find the 1p items as they may not as organised0 -
