dismissal possible

hi,there is a distinct possibility that i may get dismissed in the next few weeks from a well paid job 20 yrs service.i think its a bit of a set up but i am partially to blame along with a colleague who as far as i know is not under any investigation.i am a worrier and have suffered from depression in the past.
I have a mortgage and the usual bills but we have a reasonable lifestyle my wife has a couple of cleaning jobs bringing in about £400 a month.
anybody got any advice where to claim benefits (if entitled to any) i have 16k sacings and an endowment worth 15 k if i cash it in.

I'm not sure where you stand about JSA regarding the dismissal. Assuming you are able to claim, then your savings wouldn't affect your claim for the first 6 months.

I am afraid that if there is a dismissal involved this is classed as intentionally loosing your job, and sanctions (up to 26 weeks - very often always 26 weeks) apply to JSA.
