Overseas NCB
Hi all - hope someone out there has a bit of relevant knowledge for this.
Lived in Spain for the last 14 years. Drove motorcyles up to about 5 years ago but no chance now (broker out of business, cant find policies and prob too long ago for NCB to be relevant any longer) of finding proof of bonus. Have an existing car policy and have applied for a bonus confirmation from the underwriter.
Now, I understand that most UK insurance co's will accept EU NCB when issuing a policy here. No problem for the car one (assuming the bonus confirmation is in a format they can understand). My question is (and I have been away for a while) do motorcycle insurers view car NCB as relevant to their policies or do I have to restart building bonuses on m/c insurance. Makes a huge difference - I am buying a 1300 Yamaha and the quote with NCB is 120 quid versus 420 without.
Cheers
