So mad and fed up! Advice please!

I live on a medium sized estate which has a number of cats living on it... And they all seem to use my garden as their toilet!!! It is generally a small circular bed surrounding a box bush where they like to do their business but they also do it on the grass too!
I am so fed up with having to clean it up! I have a young son of 18 months and I am 5 months pregnant so do not need this!
I have got one of those sonic devices which they just ignore and have read loads of advice on the web with nothing seeming to work!
Apart from shooting the bl**dy things, can anyone advise?
Am seriously at the end of my tether now!
Thanks
Jen

Crushed up moth balls sprinkled round the garden removed my cat problem (also got rid of the moths ...joke)0

It's a pain but I have heard that there is some stuff that's good based on tiger pee. Basically the scent of a bigger cat should scare them off. You can get it from garden centres. Failing that a hose on them each time you catch them doing it even in the winter may put them off.0

water pistol........ my mum tried EVERYTHING else and spent a fortune on lion poo / electric gadgets trying fishingline on sticks around the top of the fence (so cats cant walk on the fence ) bought her a water pistol from the pound shop and a week laster no cats in the garden...

i agree , i used a water pistol to get rid of nieghbours cats from my garden , after about 5-6 good soakings they soon learn that your garden = getting wet0 -
I was also going to suggest a water pistol, good minds think alike

Jen you shouldn't be going anywhere near cat poo when pregnant. Google "Congenital toxoplasmosis cat"
Get someone else to clean the poo up.0 -
Probably not a lot of practical use but might be entertaining for those plagued by cats - http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6499532/how-to-stop-cats-from-!!!!ing-on-your-carAdventure before Dementia!0
