Switching Bank accounts scared and stressed

Judojub just read your thread. You sound exactly like me. Except you kept up your payments to LTSB so they didn't twig. This is my biggest worry. I want to go in and withdraw all the money from both accounts after I get paid on 26th but if I walk in and try to withdraw that amount of money I don't think they will let me have it. Don't know if I should wait until after the 1st when a large portion of the DD go out. even after this will probably be over £2000. I just can't see them letting me have it as I have missed a couple of payments on mine and hubbys CC to them. We are still paying loans. No defaults on them. FavDaughter1 I am as terrified as you. I am not sleeping at all. What upsets me the most is the way they treat you. Up to now we have paid everything in full for the last 20 years. BTW both of your support is really keeping me going. Thank-you so much.0

Hi formidable.
The only reason I kept the payments to Lloyds is because I couldn't cancel the DDs! But by not being able to cancel them, when the payments did come out they took me over my agreed O/D. If you don't want to go into the bank to withdraw your money then maybe you could transfer it to your new account by doing it online. Up until I applied for the IVA I had not missed payments on anything either. It will be a little while yet before Lloyds get wind of what you are doing so honestly, you will be fine. I know how worrying the whole process is and scary too. You will be ok. Just focus on the end goal. That soon, this will be a distant memory and you will be on your way back to debt freedom.
Keep posting for support, questions or just a good old rant if that's what it takes to get it out of your system! x0 -
Hi, it is an awful, stressful, frightening time,BUT,we can tell you you are not alone & you will get through this!:(.
Judo is right, keep your eye on your goal, getting help & sorting yourselves out so you can look forward. she's also right in saying they won't twig a while yet what you are doing,it's your money. be bold, walk in and take it out - then go and get yourself a coffee. you could try a online transfer as suggested.
Hi worried chick, don't worry about the account, you might get asked to go into branch with id. are you positive it was a Basic bank account that you asked for? have you rung and spoken to them? i put a tel. number in this thread if you read back in my posts. i'm sure it'll be fine.
all these problems are stressful,it's a worrying time,i was a wreck, but if you hold on in there you will get sorted out. thinking of you, post as often as you need support, i did x0
