Got this email today. Am on a roll - 1st a CD, now a mini-mini-cruise! :j BF is a bit underwhelmed though - miserable git!

'You recently entered a competition with DFDS Seaways as part of their 140th Anniversary Celebrations. I am pleased to inform you that you have won the first prize!
Your prize is a luxury City Cruise Break for 10 people travelling between Newcastle and Amsterdam . The trip includes 2 nights onbard the ship in 5 Commodore double cabins, breakfasts on board the ship, Menu of the Season meal on the outward journey, Seven Seas buffet on homeward journey and live entertainment onboard. You can relax in the private Commodore lounges onboard, visit the cinema, go shopping, enjoy the view, relax and sit back with a drink in the bar before dinner!
Since this is a fantastic prize to have won and as part of the celebrations for 140th anniversary for DFDS Seaways we would like to generate some press coverage. I was wondering whether this would be acceptable to you. What we would do would be to announce yourself as the winner of the competition, along with the prize you have won. Then we would need pictures to accompany the story, so if you could provide us with some of you whilst on one of your trips, or we can arrange for a photographer. The story would be likely to appear in your local papers and trade publications for DFDS Seaways. If you could get back in contact with me with regards to whether you would be happy to proceed with this?'

Think I may set a few questions to see who knows the most about me to help me decide who to take! And maybe a tie-breaker: In 15 words or less tell me why I should take you to Amsterdam with me?! That kind of thing.:rotfl:
Deciding who to take might be easier than deciding when to go - should I go say June (break the year up nicely) or should I save it till nearer Christmas and hope the crossing isn't too rough?
Anyone been to Amsterdam, got any tips when to go and what to see in less than a day! Don't want to spend the entire day in a cafe, if you know what I mean.:rolleyes:If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
