BARGAINHUNTER can you not connect your waterbutt to the down pipe from the guttering and collect the rain water?
My parents use Ecover washing up liquid as it says on the back you can use this water to water the plants with.0 -
annie123 how do you get the water to go into the hose? Do you have a special contraption or is the end of the hose just plunked into the bath water?
Stick hose in the bath, held down with a weight, the hose then goes all the way through my home to the garden.
follow the hose from the bath and once I get to the top of the stairs I 'bounce it', sort of pick up and drop so it creates waves as I walk down, if that makes sense? by time I get to the garden the water is flowing.
The bouncing creates suction basically, the equivalent of sucking the water at the end of a syphon a short distance from the bath.
I discover this after living here for a few weeks, no way was I doing 2 watering cans 10/20 times a day in the summer. I'd be stick thin and knackered!0
