Apex don't have my credit aggreement

Egg sold my debt to Apex. So I asked apex for a copy of the credit agreement, got a letter this morning that says they don't have it and are chasing egg for it. The letter also says we have placed the account on hold and you will not receive any further contact from us until we receive these documents from Egg.

What do I do now? Do I stop payments until apex has my credit agreement?

  • you should not stop paying as even if they cannot find copy of the agreement, all they have to do is reconstitute it.

Wht happened to your copy of the agreement?

Carry on paying, the last thing you want to do is incur the wrath of defaults and added fees.

Even if it on hold, you can bet your boots your account is still very much alive and attracting interest.

What was the rationale behind asking for a copy of the agreement?
Doesn't come across as if you are disputing the debt is owed.

Apex credit are the best debt management to deal with http://www.apexcm.co.uk/

If they say my account will be on hold they will mean it. My account was defaulted so I pay no interest.

I blame Egg for giving me £25,000 at 18, what were they thinking, and if there is a way to get out of paying I will. They believed I was a full time dentist, married, 2 children and was earning £60k a year

Thought if the company don't have a credit agreement on file you don't have to pay. Is that right?

Me despicable. I just left school and Egg believed I was a full time dentist and a homeowner, I was given £25,000, I want to contact the person who signed it. Its taken away 10 years of my life.

£5200 is outstanding and I pay £300-600 a month, don't worry I pay my debts.

Who told them that you were a full time dentist, married, and earning £60k per year?

Methinks the person that told them was you - therefore you need to blame yourself, not try to blame others.

(harsh i know, but to be fair, you built up the debt, so do the decent thing and pay it back.)

In light of the added info I'm tempted to advise you to do just that.

I think it was you who threw your life away.
