Hi All,

Got a 250GB XBOX 360 Kinect (errrrm for my son....). And I want to use my 250GB External HD which is crammed full of family photos with it.

When I plug it in it does not recognise it.... Now I am led to believe that I need to do something? But can I transfer files from the external HD onto the XBOX HD? If so, how?

TIA

A

Is the drive formatted to use the FAT32 filing system?
If not, the Xbox won't recognise it.

Hi Killer, OK I can format it to FAT32 but did I read somewhere that the XBOX will only see 8Gig? Thanks, A

Not true, both of the kid's Xbox's see their 500GB drives without a problem.

  • Hi, certain drives will plug in fine with no formatting, whiles others will fail. Have you tried streaming directly to your x360 using Windows Media Player or Windows Media Centre on Vista/Win 7 machines?
