READ A FEW STORIES ON HERE ABOUT TRYING TO CLAIM MONEY BACK OFF CREDIT CARD FOR 8k.
I HAVE A COPY OF CREDIT CARD STATEMENT FROM GOLDFISH,BUT THEY ARE NOW OWNED BY BARCLAYCARD.
SO WHO DO I SEND LETTER TO?
FEEL ASHAMED THAT I SIGNED UP TO THIS COMPANY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

First thing to say is that after 7 years, you are going to have one hell of an uphill struggle, no matter who the claim is against. Even English law only recognises the right to take a claim for a broken contract up to 6 years after the event and I presume you have done nothing so far at all. Do you still have the replacement for the Goldfish Card, originally I think they were part of Cendant who now own British Gas. The card processing does seem to be by Barclaycard now and you may have a better chance if you still are a customer, if not then I think you have very little chance at all.
The telehone number to get the address of the disputes department is
Goldfish Credit Card Telephone Number: 08455 19 15 23 but before calling it you need to prepare a reasoned argument as to why you believe the original company is in breach of contract or guilty of misrespresentation and when you reached this conclusion. I have found similar complaints on another website but the whole thing goes cold in 2009 and there seems to be no more news after then. At that stage there appears to have been a bank account in the Isle of Man for the company which is based in the British Virgin Islands so you can find very little out about it at all. You need to say you want to make a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act but as I mentioned above you are likely to find considerable resistance because of the time scale. Good luck!0
