New to British Gas on Web Saver 11

I have moved over from scottish power and gone on to Web Saver 11 for dual fuel, but speaking to mates they where saying due to hike in prices in the near future its better to fix, would anyone agree and if so what tarrif is better?

    If you can't afford price hikes urgently consider locking into a fixed tariff, which guarantees rates, to effectively insure against your prices rising (see Should I fix? for more).

    Only thing to bear in mind you will get hit with a big hike at renewal anyway so you can only put it off.

    Also be careful the BGWS11 has a £60 exit fee.

    Just had my statement from EON pre FOL V8 ending; cheapest fix I can find is going to cost me £400 per annum more EEEEK; Cheapest variable comes out ~£200 pa more. On that basis I'll probably not fix as I can't see that £200 difference vanishing rapidly enough by 2013.
