Phone Contract

Hi
I am about to apply for bankruptcy but have a question about my phone.
I have a contract with o2 and it expires in december. This contract includes a phone. I dont want to lose the phone. Should I declare the contract as a creditor? Or is it a bill like gas and electricity? My wife can pay the contract until December. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I had and still have a phone contract with 02, I went BR in Oct10 and have a rolling contract with 02 so it never really expires, but I have had no problems with them since being BR.0

Thanks for your reply. Did you list o2 as a creditor?0

Hi Marcmac,
I went Bankrupt last Monday and 02 are asking for the phone back, I did list them as a creditor0 -
No I did not list them as a creditor as I was up to date with my payments to them.0

Is it a cheap phone, or an expensive smart phone?0

I'm with Orange and didn't declare them as a creditor as I didn't owe them anything. In fact, the day I went BR I was £5 in credit on my last bill as they'd compensated me for something going wrong.
I've still got the phone and the contract, OR isn't interested in it either. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

If they get wind of your BR they will close your account, didn`t use to be like this but o2 have now changed their t&c.:pB&SC No. 298
