Hi all,
Fabulous holiday had by all!:D
The lodge was absolutley fantastic, so luxurious, and the facilities were fanstastic! Not a lot spent as we just cooked our own meals, our friends took us out for meals as well to say thanks for letting them stay, and we went to a birthday party which was a meal as well.
Since coming back I haven't managed to post as I have been SOOO busy! I have spring cleaned and de cluttered the downstairs of the house, still got upstairs to do. I have made 2 plastic bag holders and have started making the bunting for earthlets 1st birthday on Friday.
I have also scoured the charity shops and found a lovely dress for the 2 weddings I have in the summer, for £6.
We had a lovely baby and mums picnic in the park today, and I have also managed to sort out the garden which was pretty overgrown.
I have been doing really well at not buying things that I don't NEED, and am looking forward to making decorations for earthlets birthday with him, making the cake, and the buffet - we are having friends round on saturday.
I LOVE being on holiday, and can't actually see how I fit full time work in normally!!! One day perhaps I will have a lovely house with a kitchen garden and no work ever!:T15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

How can earthlet be almost 1!! Time certainly does fly. Glad you had a good holiday and enjoyed the break.
I was thinking of you the other day actually as we went to the local ice cream farm (do you know the one I mean?) and I thought earthlet (and yourself of course!) would enjoy it.Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0 -
Glad you had a lovely holiday and that you're on track with avoiding unnecessary spends. Hope earthlet's birthday goes well. xYesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

I love the holidays too but I o wonder if I would feel the same if I was at home all the time. It is great to catch up with everything at home but I think the novelty would wear off quite fast. I have to admit that I enjoy my work persona too much to give her up!
Glad you had a great holiday,

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Disaster strikes!
I am sooooo completely and utterly 110% annoyed with myself. I have lost the plastic wallet that I keep our vouchers in. I just got so blas! about where they were kept - thought they were in one of the change bags, or my other handbag etc. that I just completely lost track. I have spent about 3 hours looking for them to no avail, and although there is a slim chance I might have left them somewhere really random that I'll find them again - perhaps in my classroom at work, this is really unlikely, and I just have to write it off to being completely and utterly hopeless and not seeing the woods for the trees!
I am down £30 m and s, £20 mothercare, and £10 tesco.
I know it's small consolation but if they're clubcard vouchers, you can get the number off the clubcard website and still use them online. There is a record of what they sent you. xPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Sounds lovely! Do you have to pay to get in?or just for the icecreams?
If you are over our way again let me know and I will come and meet you with earthlet if I am off.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Well I made the bunting, and a fabric banner with a silver balloon on it, and some swirly decorations with butterflies on them - they look really cute if a bit home made!!
I have tidied the garden and spent £3 on plants to add a bit of colour - next year I vow to grow more from seed as the ones I did grow in the mini green house were great (I only grew 8 though!)
Been to soft play (for free as earthlet is still under 1 until 1.45pm!!) and have enjoyed opening pressents and giving lots of hugs and kisses.
Earthlet was so exhausted he has had quite a long sleep now, so I have made him lots of meals for the freezer, and our spag bol for tonight.
I have made the cake, just need to add the cream and icing, and make a rice and a potato salad and I am ready for his party tomorrow - fingers crossed for the weather so we can play outside!!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Hi Earthgirl,
You're doing brilliantly on all fronts. Glad you had a good holiday and that earthlet is thriving ahead of his big day. Looking forward to your mansion (nearly) as much as my big house!! Have a wonderful day tomorrow (and an almost as wonderful day today...)
Cheers,
