Good idea. Nobody should have a more prominent sig than anyone else.I am a Mortgage Adviser
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice.0 -
Should the signature read like mine, saying THOUGH YOU should note, rather than THOUGH I should note?I am a Mortgage Adviser

Is this better for the second part ?
"Though you should note that this site does not check my regulatory status, so you need to take my word for it. "
seems few variations on "mortgage broker"
mortgage adviser/ broker
mortgage & insurance adviser/broker /IFA
mortgage IFA
mortgage and protection IFA / adviser / broker
By using the IFA term , thats then going down the "independent route", which brings to play both fee option & WoM , both of which Martin previously said he did not want -
thats why I wondered "mortgage, insurance, investment " ( or any conbination) was more suitable - just a thought, as my views would be
Mortgage & insurance adviser
OR
Mortgage IFA ( as assumes insurance already)
or
IFA ( for those not doing mortagges)
Petty maybe, but lets get it right!

Well, I like colour.0

UK..... I actually agree, smaller text size, less spaces, but colourAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

The above posts show that having an avatar seems to mean ones shorter posts still take up more room - even if no extra spaces in sigAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

If the FSA cannot get it right, what chance do we stand to get it right here? The fact is that the FSA lets us be networked and whole of market independent. So I call myself independent even though I work off a huge panel and can go off the panel if I so want to. I can work for free or charge a fee. I have my feet in both worlds and tell my clients so and they can then decide if they want to pay a fee and get the commission or not. 99% of the time my clients want the advice and service for free. Funny that solicitors do not have to even discuss this but just charge, no money , no service as some of my clients have just found out from their solicitors.0 -

Nope, I think it is the font type you chose.0 -
I like colour, but i think the colour should be down to the individual. What I think is more important to create unity is font size and type. I have no feelings on avatars really.
Also, on the last part of the signature I would have thought (without being rude to anyone here) instead of "Thought you should note" it would read better as "It should however be noted that....this site has not checked my regulatory status, and cannot be held responsible for the actions of me or anyone claiming to be an adviser who is not actually authorised"
Don't ask me to explain myself on this one as I've been up since 230am and I really haven't the energy to debate - this is just my feeling on the matter.I am a Mortgage Adviser
