usb tv freeview tuner question...

i want to get a usb tv tuner for freeview to install on my laptop and one function i need is the software will turn on the laptop to do the recording and then turn it off again once finish.
the laptop is going to use purely as a PVR. i had a look at https://www.gbpvr.com but not sure if the software will do what i need.

not sure that this is possible? you may be able to get something to turn off the laptop when finished but to turn it on is a different matter!0
