Microsft Outlook - Out Of Office message

Options
As a small business connected to broadband via BT.I'm currently using Outlook 2000 and of course BT only support Outlook Express. I would like to stop eMails coming whilst on holiday by placing an Out Of Offce message that senders would receive when the attempt an email. According to Microsft the only this can be done is to buy a new Office 2003 package where this facility does exist.
Does anyone know of another way to achieve this message facility?

  • The Out of Office Assistant feature in Microsoft Outlook is a Microsoft Exchange Server service.

As yellowlawn says you need to do this at the server level.

You should contact the ISP that hosts your mail and check if they have an auto-responder facility that can be activated on your account.
