Waaaaaaay behind but do you know what, it doesn't matter! Just been on the go constantly today and I'm only sitting down now whilst the soup cools before blending it for us. Going to have a quick vacuum around after tea to make the living room look decent for Fellowship Group (7 extras squeezed into our small room ) and get the kids ready for bed in good time.

Hope everyone has had a good day and hi to Carlsberg! - wow, time flies!

Hello, I did try flylady years ago and would like to again. Can I join you? I am going to have a look at the website now :)
  • Evening, a very productive day for me (well, compared to recent ones, anyway)

    Cup of tea
    Feed splats
    Muck out litter tray

    Empty bins
    Take binbag out

    Sweep shower room out
Bleach shower room as cat used the shower drain as a loo - presumably the tray was occupied, and whilst I would rather she didn't, there are far worse places for her to do it

    Water plants

    WM X 1
    DW X 1

Clean sink & wipe down counter, clearing up gibble as I went

    Sweep kitchen floor

Scoop up DD's cpra from the living room and dump it all in front of the door so she had to pick it all up before she could get in the house.

My stairs are ALWAYS immaculate - I won't have stuff dumped on them, ever. Only place that is, mind. Although the landing, bath & shower rooms come a very close second.

Looking at them though, they could do with a fresh coat of gloss. [adds to mental list, along with getting carpet for stairs and landing before Autumn]

Snip pollen off Lilies in my bedroom, remove dead leaves, pick pollen dust up very carefully on dried out baby wipe and dispose of.

    *****

I'm now going to boil up some pasta for Minion's dinner and see what else I can squeeze in without too much effort.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Welcome, you're more than welcome to join us - here's a :xmastree: so our official meeter/greeter won't miss you! We don't follow the official Flylady website as such, but do follow lists and do a different room or rooms each day and you can just choose which level suits you. Have fun!

    Evening all,

Just a quick post whilst cooking dinner. Out again this evening so minimal flying.

I have done the kitchen and done HHG. I needed the fresh air even though it is very damp here.

Hoping to do WM x 1 and HHI when I get home.

Bye for now and welcome Ib29.........

    Thank you!

I think your way sounds better anyway. The reason I stopped flylady was that if I had visitors I would want to concentrate on my living room, kitchen and bathroom, and then I would get behind with the lists. Hopefully posting will give me a kick up the bum as well!
  • Welcome lb29. I joined for the first time this week and have been very motivated so far so it's helping me.

Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Catch up on phone calls.. make necessary appointments .. and sort out insurance policies that need renewing soon!! [/STRIKE]
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Dusting, even if around everything [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/STRIKE]
    Level 3
[STRIKE]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc [/STRIKE]
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing. See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house! I'm putting this one off as it needs proper time dedicating to it, may have to tackle a shelf at a time!!
    Extras
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper. About to start filing, I have a scary pile for sorting out
[STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself[/STRIKE]
    Clean a window or two.
Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves
