Motley Fool Share Trading £2.50 per deal

New service which looks to bring down the cost of share trading. It costs £1.50 per trade. The trades are only done 4 times a month so this is more for long term traders where short term price fluctuations are less important.

Here is the blurb from the Motley Fool website:

The Motley Fool is launching its own share dealing service this week, and you could pay commission of just £1.50 per purchase. The minimum investment is just £20, but whatever the size of your purchase, you need only pay £1.50 when you buy shares.

Too good to be true?

I know, it sounds fantastic. Almost too good to be true.

But it really is fact. We can charge such a low commission because we buy shares on a set day four times a month. All you need to do is choose which date suits you, and which company's shares you'd like to buy. We then group together all our customers' orders and pass the resulting cost savings straight to you.

You might be worried about timing. The share price of your favourite share might be a bit cheaper two hours before the time we trade. However, at The Motley Fool, we've always believed that the simplest way to profit from the stock market's growth is to invest for the long-term. If you take the long-term approach, timing may not be so important.

Regular investing

What's more, you can make regular monthly investments via our service, again for as little as £20 a time. If you suddenly need money for other things, you can simply cancel your order for the month. Or vary the amount you invest. Or stop buying shares completely. Our service is designed to offer lots of flexibility.

And there are no annual charges or hidden fees.

When you come to sell shares, we will charge £10 commission (UK equities). You can also buy shares at a time of your choosing for £10 a trade.

On top of all that, you can also sign up for The Motley Fool Self Select ISA. That means you can buy shares within an ISA wrapper so that any capital gains you make are sheltered from the tax man. For the ISA we'll charge a low monthly fee of 0.05% a month.

And we'll be launching a Motley Fool SIPP next year.

I reckon all Fools should at least consider signing up for this service. Remember you can buy shares from as little as £1.50 a trade with The Motley Fool share dealing service.
