Help needed in finding house in the Peak District for a group

I wonder if anyone had any experience/recommendations for hiring a house in the Peak District for 5 couples plus 8 children-age range 0-5. I'm finding it really hard to find suitable properties to rent for a weekend. We're having a university reunion with people coming from Surrey, Newcastle, Manchester and Northants so trying to find a location sort of in the middle of Surrey and Newcastle so thought the Peak District but any other suggestions would be great! As we all want to get together in the evening when the children are in bed we need one large property rather than a group of cottages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about Hartington Hall Youth hostel? http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/peak-district-sherwood/hostels/Hartington/index.aspx
Wife recently had a great time there at a reunion. Nice building, walks of all sorts on the door step, bar, decent food (or self cater), not expensive. You could even get a big room and put the kids in together if you wanted to.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -
Try Wellwood Lodge in Buxton - just google it.
Got a good write up on The Real Visitors Book website when we were looking for something similar
