please can anyone help with this -not sure if i should post somewhere else?

Problem with fridge after Winter, working fine beforehand then parked up for 2 mths and now won't work.
Comes on for 5 mins when you first connect but then goes off and won't come back on. then a week later might suddenly come on again on its own for 5 mins and go off.
Hve tested gas and electric and both supplys fine and working other things ok.
It is an automatic energy selector fridge - model 4285LM.
At a bit of a loss as to what might be the problem - any ideas would be much appreciated.
thanks

bumping this up hoping someone can help.......

have since got 'qualified' person out to look and he did not inspire confidence in the slightest (but did charge me £50) - advised that it probably the main control board and needs replacing.

Found one online and with some haggling got it for £107 - arrived and installed today and guess what - it still doesn't work!

Due to travel very soon - would really appreciate any help and advise on fixing. thks

£157 down so far, why not replace it? Seriously though, the gas jet could be blocked, our simple gas fridge on the boat needs the jet blown through after a long rest.

If it won't work on mains or gas I'd suspect a thermostat is the problem. difficult to diagnose without seeing it. Not even sure if the thermostat is common to both systems, guessing really. Is there a fault finding table in the manual?

Possibly a tilt mechanism, to ensure it cuts out when the vehicle tilts (obviously) Is it level when you are checking it?

You may have had an insect crawl up into the pipework and this is affecting the sensors that allow the gas and air to mix and burn correctly.

Don't know what you can do about it tho.:o
