Parking Ticket - Wrong Offence

Afternoon chaps,

I've just got a parking ticket from my local council for not displaying a valid ticket - or so I thought. I did indeed not buy a ticket as I mistakenly thought Sundays were exempt in this particular car park.

However, when I opened up the PCN, the offence which has been ticked is "Vehicle not within marked bays", one above the actual offence, "No valid parking permit/ticket displayed". I was inside the bay properly, no question.

Can I appeal the ticket on the grounds of incorrect offence? If they come back and say no, am I entitled to the photographic evidence? (I saw the guy taking photos as I came back to the car).

Cheers.

Contravention did not occur, would be the box to tick. Get copies of the pics the ceo took before appealing.

Thanks PtP. I've replied by email appealing the ticket now and requesting the photographic evidence, we'll wait and see what happens.

Try this on https://www.pepipoo.com as well when they turn down your informal appeal , they can help
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Well, I got a reply saying it has gone to the appeal panel. When I asked about seeing the photos, this is the reply I got:
It has gone to the Panel but everything is on hold while they sit and review the evidence you should hear by next week, usually Wed or Thursday. If your appeal is rejected they will send the photos with the letter if granted you will be informed.
