i have a beko cooker which is around two years old..past garuntee. the hobs work fine but oven and grill have given up i think the element has gone, i dont know a electrition and wonder if i call one out to fix it, will it cost more than a new cooker may? and would it be easy to fit an elemnt myself?

Providing you can get the oven out of the recess (2 people lift) and you can properly isolate the power then it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.

That page lists the most commonly faulted items, you could always give them a ring and they may know whats up.
Obviously we don't have to tell you about the whole messing with electrics and only use an electrician as i'm sure you know that. Just use common sense, get someone to help and write everything down what screw goes where.
