Easiest way to download a video off youtube?

I want to download a couple of videos to watch / keep off youtube - not music videos. How do I do this in the easiest way?

Easy Youtube Video Downloader for me. There are better programs that do multiple sites, but I like mine and don't really use other media sites.

The Video Download Helper add-on downloads embedded video from loads of different sites - not just YouTube. Maybe worth a look...

I've used download helper with firefox. More recently I've started using a piece of software called Orbit. It has a thing called Grab++ which can (it seems) download any video streamed to a website, on just about any website. It sounds like you're ok now, but if you find something you can't download otherwise, give it a try :-)
