I have just received some blue Tesco vouchers in the post this morning but am really unsure how to use them "properly". Do I have to go to a self-scan and can I use them irrespective of whether I've bought ladies, mens or childrens? Or will the SA take them whatever? I had a bit of an embarrassing moment in Tescos last week when a witch of an SA made a big deal of refusing a lot of coupons, duplicates etc and I ended up slinking away...(and I'm 45 for goodness sake!...)
The mens scan with any clothes but the rest have to be in their categories. If you combine them with the gold vouchers floating about this week, like Welshy said above you can get a £60 shop for £12!!!!:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0 -
I think kool-mumma meant to say get £60 clothes with £48 OFF, so only pay £12!! Combining vouchers like this is what we MSErs call 'Doing a Welshy'

Be sure to squeeze it well out and then spread on a towel to absorb most of the excess before you hang it up ... I hung mine on a cool radiator and then gave it a little iron ...
Thanks LittleBill for the info - read your message at lunch time in the office and on the way home did a drive in and bagged my £20 worth of toiletries, a red cashmere jumper and clothes for the kiddies - my vouchers took off £25 for the toiletries and £48 for the clothing so only £7 to pay and gained 500 points today !
My next challenge Welshy is to repeat this another 3 times with the clothing.
As I have 3 sets of blue vouchers and 3 sets of gold vouchers to use before 17th December. I was thinking as the jumpers are rather nicetreating my mum and sister to one too and maybe getting myself a winter coat with the other lot.
On the way home feeling Christmassy I went to Netto and paid just £5.99 for a real pot grown Christmas tree - equivalent in garden centres is twice that much locally. It may not be that big this year but by next year and subsequent years it will be lovely to decorate. The funny thing was it just didn't feel right handing over money with no vouchers LOL

i'm so jealous! on sunday night when i read about the £5 voucher in the sun i asked my husband to drive around and find a copy for me (local shops had shut by then) but he was tired and wanted a bath - and he said i would never have the nerve to do a £20 toiletries and £60 clothes shop and only pay £7 !! i said i wouldn't pay £7 because by then the quick reads and book tokens i've swapped with other MSE'ers would have arrived'bad mothers club' member 13

My OH doesn't get my voucher fascination but is amazed by the savings I have achieved. I'm not sure he would do what I do but then he hates shopping and I quite enjoy it LOL
My jumper looks lovely think I may give it to the kiddies to wrap up for me so I can wear it on Christmas Day

I'm getting a vision of Anneka Rice ... Do you go shopping in a jumpsuit Welshy? .... :rotfl:
Don't know if I'll use my vouchers ... No.1 son does need a coat though still ... Thanks for the tip regarding the baby/toddler 200 pointer ... If it works on Age nine that would be a treat! ... No. 2 son has too many clothes!LittleBill ... "The riches of a man can be measured by what he can do without"0
