Cheap value greenhouse wantd
Got back home and found that my my small plastic 4 tier greenhouse fell over, i presume with the wind today. Ruined many of my seedlings.........
guessing now might be best to invest in a small proper greenhouse, rather than these cheap plastic ones.
anyone recommend a small sturdy greenhouse that is not going to break the bank?

Have you looked on freecycle or ebay? Sometimes people buy houses with them who aren't interested in gardening and just want to get rid of them.:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0

I have a slightly older model of this space saver greenhouse, from Norfolk Greenhouses. I got it 12 years ago and it's still as sound and sturdy as the day I assembled it. You have to have a suitable wall to fix it to, of course (it's just four brackets) but it's big enough for everything I've ever needed to grow. I've modified it very slightly so that the shelves run right across the doorway and I can't walk into it so there's a fair bit of space.
Norfolk Greenhouses have a lot of different budget greenhouses. They're all fairly basic but the company has been around a very long time and have a good reputation for what they do. They do two levels of quality...the really cheap ones are "glazed" with flexibleplastic sheeting and are less durable than the ones glazed with solid polycarbonate sheets. Mine is the second sort...I chose it because I had small boys running around the garden but it's been a good buy. Now the kids are a wee bit older I do regret a little that I didn't buy a double sized one but not enough to replace it just yet. Anyway, the site is worth a look.Val.0 -
Another vote for Norfolk Greenhouses. I've got the cheapy basic model (was £69 when I bought it) plus tomato houses from them. Instructions are infuriating:eek::mad: but they are good greenhouses0

Another vote for Norfolk here as well. And I've found their customer service to be good as well.
Best advice I can give, is think of what size you want and then go up at least one size if you can afford it. There's never enough room..

A fourth for Norfolk, I bought a re badged B & Q one,the dearer sort, on offer at the time, no troubles apart from less than clear instructions
Unless you are desperate it may be worth hanging on until the end of season Autumn clearances ready for ChristmasWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
I bought a Norfolk Ultimate Popular 6 as was previously stated instructions are a nightmare mine went together pretty easily (so i thought) until i went to fit the rear window wouldn't fit
. but all in all very pleased with it even if my window is stuck on with gaffa tape until the summer comes then rip it off untill feb next year
The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0 -
Oh please! don't get one of these Norfolk things, they are thin metal, lousy instructions. Better off looking on Ebay or Greenhouse People website for something more substantial. As they say you only get what you pay for.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

As OP stated " Cheap value greenhouse wanted"When an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
Do you want to buy it once, or many times over??? Better to buy a decent Cold Frame and save your pennies until you can afford a stronger larger Greenhouse, as you always run out of room, and when you decide you want to grow Grapes or Melons or something big the cheap greenhouse will collapse. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
