I need some help to buy a portable DVD please it's for myself as I travel by train a lot I thought it would take the boredom out of the trip.
I would like one with a usb connection if poss and a 10 inch screen and a decent battery life I would prefer one that would go back to where I was on the film after stopping play.
I was looking at this one but it doesn't tick all the boxes.

Wouldn't you be better off with a netbook, Kindle, or tablet computer?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Thank you for your help penrhyn and mchale.
I have had a good look round and thought about other options and have decided to go with this it ticks all the boxes they have one at Amazon for £91.99 so not much dearer than the Bush one at argos.

Paid £130 for an MSI U135DX Netbook. Much more versatile than an ugly standalone portable DVD player. :) It's no accident that they omit to mention the battery life of those things.

    Netbook every time for me.

They might not be happy ripping DVD's though

You won't see a "decent" battery life out of anything that has to power/spin up an optical drive for any length of time (eg, watching a movie).
Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.

I bought a good quality Philips DVD player about 4 years ago for about £200 and it was a good buy with 10" screen and 5 hour battery life. But I now have a 10" Netbook with about the same battery life and it's a much better choice. You do need to be able to obtain the film / music files to transfer to your DVD-less Netbook via flash drive.
