Can someone please tell me how I would use/connect to Skype. Somone I know has gone abroad for a month and they have Skype (which I don't have). They said calls are free this way, otherwise they'll probably end up having to use their mobile instead. Is it worth getting connected to Skype for this amount of time, as I probably wouldn't usually use it?

I use Skype all the time as my brother's in Vietnam and my boyfriend's in Germany. Saves me a small fortune.

You will have to know your friends username but once you do it's very easy to set up.

It's totally free for Skype to Skype calls, so yes it is worth getting. Takes 2 minutes to set up. I use it to talk to my parents when they are on holiday (on the continent for months at a time!!). They nip to Macdonalds, have an ice cream and use the free wifi to call me :)

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I been considering skype. Apart from downloading skype, do I need some sort of phone linked to my computer to be able to make calls. I'd appreciate some advise.
