Depending on the date you checked, there is a possibility that there is some discrepancy.

NFM09 comes into effect from 22 May, which is the next (minor) fares revision, and CrossCountry are revising the restriction code for many long-distance flows on the Manchester - Bournemouth route from that date onwards, which will be changing from 8X to 2V (iirc). Restriction 2V means that the ticket would not be valid on departures before 0930. This would mean that the ticket the OP excessed to this time will not be valid on early morning departures from 22 May onwards. In order to travel before 0930 from that date onwards, an excess to Anytime Return will be required.

I think I already referred to the direct train. I was pointing out that it doesn't necessarily take over an hour for the London transfer as National Rail's calculation allows, and as there are 3 suitable trains an hour from Waterloo (on a Sunday) it could be little or no slower via London.

I'd reckon about 20 minutes by underground from Euston to Waterloo including waiting or I could even walk it in about 35 minutes. So either 8 minutes quicker or 11 minutes longer.

Anyway, that's done now, but I'd suggest to miamoo if it could be worth looking up advance fares if there's enough notice available in future. £16 or £21 singles in a few weekends time.
