Hi, can someone advise me please,
I listed a coat, and a buyer from Australia has the winning bid,
I listed postagge at the usual £4, but obviously cannot afford to send for that amount.
The package weighs 868 g, and would be covered by the £4 in the UK
what is the best way to post to Australia please.
Thanks for any advice

I posted 2 baby sleeping bags to australia, JI didn't list that i'd sell outside the uk but the winning bidder contacted me before bidding to get a postage cost. They cost 14 pounds to post which she was happy to pay. I think they were posted as a oacket/parcel. She wasn't worried about paying extra for signed for.0

Assuming coat is under £46 then just use standard airmail at a cost of £10.92

Remember you will need a customs label.
If you don't want non UK buyers it might also be worth setting your seller preferences to exclude them so this can't happen again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you Soolin, very helpful,I am not averse to selling outside the Uk,
in fact I quite welcome it, I sell so very little, am pleased to get a sale, I was just surprised that she did not contact me first, as I had
requested anyone outside the UK to do so.

your buyer may be in UK.
We set up our ebay account in Australia, but now live in UK and various stuff defaults to Aus. have you contacted the buyer to check where he/she wants it sent?0 -

No one ever contacts a seller first. To avoid problems just list the postage options for the countries you are happy to post to using the drop down options in the postage section. That way they automatically see how much the postage is and if they go through checkout the postage fortheir country is picked up without you doing anything.
Well over half my items go overseas and I finish a lot of them at very odd times and just log in the next day and everything is paid for already and I can post out with very little effort needed on my part.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I find Australia a surprisingly good market, sometimes a tad slow to pay but always leave glowing feedback. On some days I send more items to Australia than to the UK even though the postage can be eye wateringly high.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
