Paypal Error

I've been trying to pay for an item for the last couple of hours and it just keeps saying error, please contact us if this error persists (or something along those lines.
It lets me log into Paypal and click pay but then it just goes back to Ebay and saying there is an error (it is not a problem with the payment source)
Before I try to talk to Ebay/Paypal, is this happening to anyone else or just me?

I've just logged in to see if anyone else was having issues and found your post.

I'm also desperately trying to pay for something and I can't pay either via ebay, or even send money (safely) through paypal for an ebay win. I thought it might be my buyer as I have won something for pennies as he is showing free postage when he usually fee avoids by having a set rate of £8.99, but if you are having issues then i Might give ebay a call and ask them what they are 'fixing' this time.

Just been in contact with customer support as i though there was a problem with my account and they said that they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.

I just spoke to them as well and had a lovely chat with an absolutely charming man who has put a real smile on my face. Like you I was told that there is a problem with paypal and almost everyone will be affected, and to try again later this evening.

Oh, I want to pay for my bargain NOW

:)I've been trying (and going round in circles ) for the last hour to pay for something on ebay with paypal I'm so pleased (I think) that it's a known problem but do think that Ebay could have posted a warning onsite about it !Anyway I'll try again later-thanks:)

Thank god I came back on here to see if anyone could help me lol !!!

I am so pleased it wasnt just me !! I have been sending the buyer messages saying "it wont let me pay", Ive been onto my online bank to make sure there was funds etc, went into my paypal account etc.....

PHEW !!

I was going back onto Ebay to see how to contact them, as when I tried those stupid little help sections, it kept saying go to Paypal if payments will not go through !!

Your right though, they should flag it up on the site to make sure people dont panic....like I have been for the past hour lol !!

Yay, just paid. If it arrives I have myself a real bargain and know just where I am going to sell that on.

I agree the screens have changed though, I double checked that I was actually logged in properly as it looked a bit weird. I do so hate it when ebay or paypal change things, it never quite works out well.

Same here, i got round it by paying through the ebay app on the iphone
