What's a "working day" for ebay delivery purposes ?

Straightforward query. Bought a tv on 4th May, seller quotes "within 6-8 working days" for delivery. No delivery yet, obviously, despite the seller only being 30 miles away. He's sold stuff since mine & has feedback for those items.

When should I query non delivery with him, do you think ?

Thank you.

yep, according to my fingers next Monday is the 8th day.

You could always e-mail the seller to ask when you can expect to receive them

Oh, just me being naive in the belief that the closer he is, the faster the item gets delivered. And yeah, it's Royal Mail/Parcelforce.

TBH for a TV, I'd deliver personally within 30 miles. Saves me a whole load of aggro.

    well which is it?
RMs working days is a 6 day week(for the purpose of deliveries),5 for Parcelforce
Ebay will work on a 5 day week but I would expect contact/dispatch notification from the seller by now given you dont have the item

the Saturday and Sunday is the weekend.other days is the working day.most seller define this

As a long term seller I have never specified on my listings what constitutes a working day or not, and neither does the ebay indication of delivery time specify. The reason is as custardy pointed out it depends on the postage method/courier, some work 5 days a week some 6 and we've even had rumours that some couriers now work Sundays.

My Hermes guy delivered on a Bank Holiday Monday (easter or early may, can't remember), I was well surprised.

I bought a bag a week ago and estimated delivery is 13-15 working days. I've had no communication from the seller, I just don't understand why it would take so long. I did notice it when I bid, but it was the only one being sold so I decided to just buy it and wait. It's frustrating though having to wait that long!
