Did the problem just start?
Did you put a new disk?
Could be the jumpers on the drive are not set, the bios setting is not set properly (to detect drives or the boot order), loose wire connection, failing drive or motherboard.
Take your pick.0 -
nothing new been added, just started today,is there anything i can try to fix it?0

If the bios has autodetect facility, try that first - it could be the bios has been changed.
Is there more than one disk in the pc? If only one, not sure why its looking for primary slave.
After that - its a case of opening the case (pun pun) and looking at the computer cables, checking for loose connections and do above again. Be careful to disconnect all power to case.
Can't be jumper settings if its been working before - so if above fails - its likely to be dead disk. You would need to do other things to check after that.
PS - if you have windows install disk - you can try do a recovery/fix (could be a corrupt partition problem)0 -
disable primary slave in bios and look to see if primary master is detected
how old is the pc?!!
