'new' second hand car dies after 2 weeks
Options
I need help lol!! Mum traded her car in and collected their 'new' second hand one 2 weeks ago today they also paid £500 towards the 'new' one. On their way to mine today the car broke down on motorway and RAC man says the cylinder head gasket has gone (about £500 to fix) so now it's beeing towed to local (friends) garage but I had a look at the consumer direct website and they say you may be able to reject a faulty car or claim money for fixing it within a 'reasonable time'. Has anyone done anything like this before. Car is an 02 reg punto with 63k on the clock.
Thanks in advance

Friends son had a cambelt let go on the night he drove the car home - 40 miles. Ended up taking 6 months and dragging the seller through County Court.
Have they been checking the oil and water weekly?0 -

Puntos of this age were known for blowing gaskets.
They have to fix it. Just because the car is old doesn't mean you don't have rights when buying from a trader.0 -
