I agree with above. Pay now and inform them in writing that the late payment was due to them holding an incorrect address for you. Inform them that they need to change there records to "X" and it might sink in then.0

The freeholders have served me court papers for payment today.
However, the freeholders know full well that the property is rented out and I do not live there.
If the defendant has not given an address for service, the claim must be served at the defendant's residential address [if D is an individual].
If the claimant has reason to believe that the address of the defendant is an address at which the defendant no longer resides, the claimant must take reasonable steps to ascertain the defendant's current residential address.
Therefore, if the f/h knows 'full well' that you don't live at the flat, the claim has been improperly served.0
