Try sendabunch - the Singapore Orchids went down very well on Mother's Day! Really nicely priced flower company, and their prices don't seem to get over-inflated near to 'occasions'. I've used them several times now.

ok. thanks all for your suggestions.

now i have one further question...chatting to father tonight, he says he's not planning on getting her anything!!! he says, she say she doesn't want anything. i told him women might say this, but still want something - don't we?

he's terrible at buying presents in general, so i usually have to buy them for him (any guesses as to why he's been single for so long? :D ) so now it turns out that i have agreed to buy her a present from him too.........

    help!!!!

what would a 70ish year old man buy his 60 ish year old girlfriend?

i'm already having to buy his pressies for my inlaws, his grandchildren, his cleaners etc - food hamper type things, books and vouchers respectively...

in this case i'm not so concerned about budget, as i'll tell him what i spent for him and demand money

My MIL is the same age. She loves anything to do with the country diary of am edwardian lady. There is a lovely photo album in 'THE WORKS' at the moment costing £5.99. Also for her birthday she got a photo frame with a clock attached to it. Not my kind of thing but she loves it. What about a classical music cd. That always goes down with most women of that age. Usually if i buy a gift from M&S i find i can't go wrong.

If it's supposed to be coming from him then I'd go down the route of necklaces/earrings/floaty scarves/luxury bath products that kind of thing.

My Mum is in her early 60's and has just had her ears pierced for the first time so this year she's getting loads of earrings from everyone! :D

It sounds lame this one, but I always get her a thick warm jumper or sweater, sometimes a blouse, she gets so over excited about that, she never seems to buy herself things like that.
