kazschow, funnily enough I've been looing at pruning my similar sounding plum trees today. Last year they set fruit which came to not much too. (first year with them, they too have suffered neglect). However, mine have literally dozens, possibly even hundreds of offspring.
I'm going to try a radical prune and see what happens next year....otherwise, I'm afraid the wood burner beckons mine too0
