petrol allowance and housing benefit???

Hi,

I have started a new job and i am entitled to petrol allowance
120 miles @ 45p = £54 p/w

But i need to know will this be used to calculate my housing benefit/council tax benefit?

    It's ignored. It's tax free money that you spend on your car.

    :p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
