Sat 14th & Sun15th What small DFW thing will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

morning everyone hope you don't mind me starting the thread today.

Today is my birthday

today I will:
  • hang out washing
  • sort out baning
  • go out for a meal
  • visit family
  • not smoke
have a great weekend everyone :D

    Morning All.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY IXIA.
Well it`s a very good morning for me for several reasons. It`s my first proper weekend off work in months. It`s PAYDAY :j and later I am going to the free Radio One concert to see the Foo Fighters. Yayyyyyy. :D
So far I have enjoyed a lie in and am in bed with the laptop as OH has gone to work for the morning.
    Today I need to:
Check banking online and pay some bills.
    Feed and walk pooches.
Have a shower and decide what tob wear (prob wellies!)
Put a load of washing on and get it on the airer to dry.
Make lunch from stores before we go!

    Have a great day everyone!

    Happy Birthday :D

    1. Check online banking
    2. Reconcile Budget to banking (I went for a meal yesterday and blew £70, I am a very very bad person)...
    3. Go to argos to buy wedding rings rather than buying identical rings from jeweller. No one will *ever* know we spent only £20 on our rings lol.
    4. Shopping trip, will spend no more than £40 on groceries.
    5. Avoid beer, I have some wine still in the fridge, I shall booze on that and try to curb my drinking and fun for 10 days because of the stupid excesses of last night at TGI's.
    6. Promise to get a train rather than taxi into town to do the ring shopping.
    7. Move the £40 I had saved for a new computer game from my pots into the current account to cover the over-expensive indulgences of last night and thus go without my computer game. I really MUST learn that spending money has repurcussions!
    8. Kiss my beautiful girl who got a job yesterday and that will give me about £700 more disposable income per month soon as she starts paying her share of the bills!
Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning and happy birthday ixia! I don't usually join in on this thread but I've been lurking and think it's great so figured I should start!

    Today I will:
-watch my friend's daughter in the morning so I can't do my usual saturday morning stroll round the shops
    -work overtime this afternoon/evening
-not have to cook or pay for food because if you work on saturday they feed you, woop!
-sort out some things to go on ebay
    -check online banking
-plan lunches for work next week so I can shop/cook tomorrow
-decide on a dessert to make to bring to a dinner on monday....thinking cheesecake if philly cream cheese is on special somewhere!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
