The phone coverage is abysmal right enough. Can't get any reception at all around Monea.

At the cross roads you get reception, thats why you see all the cars/jeeps/tractors/lorries parked up there!

We love Fermanagh, if I could get a job there (or win the lottery) we would move there. The people are great, so laidback which is great! We have been staying at a self catering place outside Lisnaskea for a few weeks each year and absolutely love it right on the shores of Lough Erne.

As for lack of mobile coverage.......that was great!

Would you ever get fed up looking at that?

I adore Fermanagh! It is the most beautiful county in NI imho.

I found a little-known thatched holiday cottage that's decorated in proper shabby chic style, looks stunning. I am dying to stay there sometime this summer. Will update you all after we've been!!!

Interesting debate re Fermanagh workers! All I know is when I have to be in the 'Big Smoke' for a regional meeting its at 9.00 or 9.30 am. Had to organize one down here (Fermanagh) recently was told by my boss would have to start earliest 10.30 best at 11.00 am. Yip its a a lot longer from Belfast to Fermanagh than from Fermanagh to Belfast!

Totally agree with that one - at our meetings they were actually kind enough to push the start back to 10.30 to give me time to get to Belfast (had 2 kids to get to school in Fermanagh and that was before the new road). When the meeting was in Fermanagh it was a 12 noon start!

Strangely now, I am largely based outside Belfast, they want to have the meetings in the evening or at lunchtime - why???
