This is great. Thanks everyone. Messed up with my first 'tester' shop (was in a rush) and bought five little bottles and a meal deal. The only meal deal bottle available in my store was £7.99 so I got £2 off the meal deal and the little bottles ended up being 89p each. Did better when I went back and just got little bottles -- bought 20 and they ended up as 69p each.0

still goes to the special offers for me ... any 4 for £5, or just search one of the wines like jacobs creek and click on the offers link from there to list all items that are 4 for £50 -
Sorry to ask this, I'm not being lazy I have read through the theard but I don't understand what I am supposed to buy - the size.
Is it the small 18.7Cl bottles or any kind. And does it work on the half price bottles as well. Could someone suggest a basket,
like 5 bottles of rose at what price, brand and size. Thanks0 -
There are two offers. The little bottles are 4 for £5 and there is also the offer of 25% off any wine when you buy six or more bottles. The till gives you back 25% off the original price of the little bottles, which is why it is such a good bargain and why the more expensive little bottles end up being the cheapest.
As long as you have six bottles in all, you can get the 25% discount off any wine you buy, the half price ones as well and the ones which are part of the meal deal. The little bottles are a good bargain because they work out under £3 for 75cl and they suit those of us who don't want to open a whole bottle either to drink or to cook with.0 -

Ok here goes.
Buy 8 bottles ( at least 6 to work both offers)Blossom Hill White Zinfandel 18.7cl @ £2.29 each = £18.32. Minus £8.32 ( to make them 4 for £5.00 ) Minus £4.59 = £5.42 for 8 bottles.
or 8 Ernest & Julio Gallo Rose 18.7cl @ £1.99 each = £15.92 Minus £5.92 ( to make 4 for £5.00) Minus £3.98 = £6.02 for 8 bottles.
So it is actually better to buy the more expensive Blossom Hill as the total works out as less. Hope that helps. Just buy in multiples of 4
Now can somebody explain the meal deal tie in with the wine offers.?0 -
Thanks OP we brought 26 bottles we have drank 3 bottles each and our son is telling all his friends on xbox we have both drank 3 bottles of wine so when we stop laughing we will be waiting for social services to cart us away, we have had such a laugh thanks oh well must go the wife wants another bottle Cheers0

me too! totally understand the mini bottle glitch and bought some today - but the tie in with meal deal - and gus - is messing with my head!0 -

I bought 8 small plus the meal deal. The wine in the meal deal was £8.99 but because I'd bought over 6 bottles altogether, it takes 25% of the £8.99 too meaning the meal deal cost £10 - £2.25 (25% of £8.99) = £7.75. Hope this explains it better. If I had known then what I know now . . .
