So if its 4 for £5, and 25% off when you buy 6 bottles, how many should I buy each time??

Sorry, being a bit thick arent I?

no you're not being thick , it's quite confusing but buy 8 for about £5.50 making them around £0.60 each, or buy 8, 10 , 12 ,14 more than six anyway so you get both discounts:)

You need to buy a minimum of 8 and then going up in groups of 4 to get the max discount ( 4 for £5 ) 8-12-16-20 and so on.
Never pay more than you have too

we went to our local store and tried with a sample 12 bottles, but they had little choice. So off we popped to the next store a mile away and 36 bottles into the trolley and a bag of sliced beans.
As we were in the Q i could hear the couple behind saying what a waste of money buying small bottles, its cheaper buying large ones.
The lad scanned everything and the top line was just over £82 and I heard the woman say 82 for those little bottles, a quick sub total later and £24 to pay. next thing is she is dashing over to the wine section...

    Thanks for this tip
  • Just bought half an hour ago @ Garforth

    1 x JP Chenet Chardonnay £1.99
1 x JP Chenet Cote Du Rhone £1.99
    1 x JP Chenet Sauvignon £1.99
    3 x Gallo Rose Grenache £1.99 each
    2 x Blossom Hill Zinfandel £2.29 each

    Should have come to £16.82
    Wines 4 for £5 -£6.82
    Wine Discount -£4.21

    Total to pay £5.79

Then I went back in for some more!!!lol

    Hope this helps someone.

I couldnt see why the meal deal wouldnt work but I read earlier that it didnt so i took the plunge anyway. I bought 2x £10 meal deal( had to have the £7.99 wine as no £9.99 left) & got 4 mini bottles to make up the 25% off 6 bottle

    - £4.16 (£5 for 4)
    - £6.29 (25% off)
    - £4 off a £20 spend@ sainsburys
    total = £10.55

Not bad for 2 posh meal deals a some mini bottles. Im not much of a wine drinker so getting some food in on the deal works out a better buy for me. Off to get some more now! :D

    This thread is great!!! :D

Usually I'm too late for the glitches, but managed it this time! I got 8 bottles for £5.70. Very happy with that as I'm using them to stock my cocktail bar up! I don't really drink wine much, but the little bottles will look very pretty all lined up! Will try and get some more tomorrow if the deal's still on.

Also got the meal deal with the £9.99 bottle of wine. They didn't have any out but asked the SA and she found me a bottle in the main wine section, so it's worth looking there if they don't have any in the meal deal section.

Thank you thank you thank you!

I'm on medication that restricts the amount I can drink. While I'm ok with a glass or 2, I cabnn't manage a whole bottle. These bottles are absolutely perfect! They'll also make great wee extra's at Christmas. Hubby and I both went and bought 16 each and used DTD vouchers we had, leaving us a few pence to pay!

    Thanka again!
