    Xmas Saver!
A dealer is unlikely to contact a lender to tell them that a loan is not required on the off chance a customer changes their mind. they will generally only have an acceptance for 30 days though.

we've been in phone contact with ford credit as well as letters and all they are saying is it is down to the experian report would writing to the fiancial ombudsman make a blind bit of difference saying we have been treated unfairly by ford credit
Sorry, but I think it would be a waste of a stamp.

I don't mean to be overly blunt but I don't think the Ombudsman would be interested in hearing about any deals you might have been offered but would only look at the contract that was signed which was for your current car and that ended with either a £3k payment or return of the car.

Sorry I can't be more help. One last option (but think long and hard about this) is there any family who might be able to lend you the £3k? The pertinent lesson here though is that nobody ever knows when redundancy may strike (happened to me once and my wife twice and we are both still in our 30s) so if you do manage to finance/borrow this £3k then consider what will happen if redundancy happens again.

I would guess bottom line is they are not interested in £3k financed over x number of years and would prefer to have the car back and sell it second hand, presumably also on a finance deal. They will by the sound of it consider selling you a second hand car at a higher price on finance.
That's how they make their money - by commission on finance deals.

i have just spoken to the dealer and things are looking positive i will be going there at the weekend apparently the 11k offer is still viable in which case we will take the second hand car

Sorry, don't mean to cause further headaches for you but do check that £11k for a second hand Fiesta is reasonable as it sounds quite pricey to me, especially as you will be paying interest on top of that.

Link below is a good place to check out used car prices. If the website below suggest a lower price then take a print out with you when you go to view the car and request they lower their price.

the payment is now due and i suppose it's my girlfriends fault the company she worked for got sold to the europeans making her redundent inadvertantly affecting her credit as she sacrificed other creditors just to make sure ford were paid in full even when we couldn't afford it, when she took the deal she had worked for her company for 15 years so couldn't predict the future and the deal seemed the best one at the time i would say a car is brand new as long as it is sitting on the forcourt as everyone knows the minute you drive it away you lose a percentage of the cars value with anything upto 40% in the first year

For gods sake please use punctuation, this is difficult to read and not helping you with your requests.
