Thanks for the reply, I had them investigate a loan at the end of last year it turned out that I didn't have ppi, but they forwarded the agreement to a solicitor anyway. They phoned about the middle of April & told me there were prob's with the agreement & I was entitled to all of the interest back & told me the solicitors fee was £295 which needed to be paid up front. As I had dealings with them before I didn't suspect anything. They seem to have vanished their phone goes dead & their website no longer works.

    Hiya

Something not right there then is it?

If you've not done so I would definately call the claims regulation, they may know more of this company, and will also check them out, and of course you have lost money as well it seems!!

Oh dear. All of that sounds like advance fee fraud.

in dec 09, the "problem with agreement" BS that claims companies thought they could make a mint on hit a brick wall when a number of test cases went before the courts and all ruled in favour of the lenders and set some ground rules in place. Overnight it killed off most unenforceable credit claims.

It is against MoJ rules to cold call when legal action may be required. As this can only result in legal action, they have broken rules there as well.

It's a classic con. An honest person cannot be caught out by it but a greedy and dishonest person can. They enticed you by saying you can get big money back by using "loopholes" to get out of an agreement. All you had to do was pay them a small amount. its like an episode of Hustle and you were the mark.

It appears this company was registered in Belfast so therefore are not regulated by MOJ. You can cached their webpage still.
  • Turned out to be a scam all along. Now trading under a different name Wize-guy claims or Wize-guy ppi management.
