Keep trying for jobs and do something productive in the meantime
I don't know of many options for cash straight away
If you like writing try ciao, dooyoo, or hubpages which is what I do. Ciao is good as it'll offer payment once you reach a fiver or more

Was just wondering what hubpages is? I know and are on ciao and dooyoo and really enjoy writing.

If you have something you're really good at or really interested in, you could become an online affiliate. Sometimes it doesn't cost a thing, but at the most, if you create a Wordpress blog this costs you £10 a year.

Then, sign up to (free) affiliate programmes that explain what you have to do next.

The whole idea is to sell products and make a cut of them. I work in the industry and it's not easy, but you'll have a good chance of making a little if you're an expert in any subject. 'How to' guides are really popular.

To get people to your site, use Twitter and then learn about other advertising processes as you go.

One site I enjoy writing for is Squidoo, and while I'm in the fairly beginner stages of it; you can definitely make good money from it. It's a lot like hubpages in the fact you write articles, called 'lenses' but it's a lot more customisable - you can add affiliate links if you want, or if you don't want the hassle of that, you can add amazon 'modules' which earn you money if anyone buys a product linked from your lens. I've not had a lot of luck with that (it depends what your article is about and if you're trying to promote some sort of product), but you get a cut of the adsense revenue from Squidoo every month, which can be generous if you build up a portfolio of lenses and promote them well. Maybe it's not for you, but I find it interesting and rewarding. :)

    Hi there,

Just thought I would offer my services if you don't mind?

I am a 5 year long web developer, have done a few blog systems myself, not really content management ones but am starting to get into like those systems if you like.

If you wanted to go down that path, would you like me to create one for you? I mean sometimes external companies only like the people who have their own, this would just involve though as it would be entirely free a link to my contact form.

So people can contact me to make systems of the same nature etc.

Just for thoughts really, just also would like to get a bit more experience with web development, whilst helping someone else out!

All the best with looking for an extra bit of income,
    Jeremy.

P.S I hope this does not look like I am spamming here at all, it's just works kind of died out for me at the moment and wanted to expand what I can do, already developed a few systems for other people the last one being a public querying Domain name server and wanted to get back into application development.
Doing some indepth analysis of my outgoings it's a real eye opener!

I find if I keep paying by card and keeping the receipts insisting that I have them from the shop, then itemising them when I get home on excel makes my life a whooole lot easier!
