Edf energy billing

I am on electric and gas with EDF, they just sent me a bill for £275 for BOTH electric and gas combined,
No meter readings at all just another page saying you have used £1283 in total for electric and gas in the previous year.
the bill also tells me I can do my own readings and log on to their site which I'm not prepared to do, or I can ring them which I'm also not doing ( personally cant stand the " you are 100 in the queue and your call is important to us ). in my opinion they should read the meter and send me separate bills.
where do I stand with this??

They are obligated to read your meter every two years. So you will get estimated readings until then.

Stop being to stubborn and read the meter its not like it takes hours! on the plus side you'll only pay for what you've used.

If you've got the EDF iphone app it takes seconds to load the reading.

You are prepared to use the utilities that you contracted with them to receive, but not prepared to tell them how much you've used so that they can accurately bill you. You can obviously use a computer on the internet too.

Takes a tiny bit of effort and could save you money, which is what this site is all about!
