Savings Account with Debit Card?

I have a joint bank account with my partner.
I would like a savings account with a debit card
just for myself so I can keep my gambling transactions separate.
I don't want another bank account and have no need for a overdraft.
Anything on the market like that?

Wouldn't we all.Anything on the market like that?
No. You are after a savings account that acts like a current account. The best you are going to get is a current account that pays a better than average interest rate (which will typically be less than a savings account)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Thanks for the answer.
Just doing a bit of research, I think the NatWest First Reserve savings account
offers a cash card that also acts as a Debit Card.
Can anyone who has this account confirm this?0 -
Do not about Natwest. But Santander Saving acoount do offer "Cash Card" to be used for cash withdrawal at Cash Machines.Roland_Flagg wrote: »Thanks for the answer.

Coventry First current account 1.1% variable for a year (0.25% variable thereafter) with VISA debit card. However, it requires a minimum of £1000 per month to be credited.

Tesco Internet Saver is paying 2.9% variable for a year and offers Faster Payments. So you could use that to feed a current account.

A discussion in another thread has confirmed that the Natwest First Reserve does come with a debit card.
Even I was shocked to hear this.Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

Santander do cash cards with their e-Savers. Annoying bl00dy things. Had e-saver 2 and upgraded to e-saver 3. They keep sending new cards, new pins, new sign-ons - which are all a complete waste of space because my log standing original sign-on works for all accounts.0

It seems that the NatWest account only allows certain transactions on the debit card.

Use of a debit card with a savings account (unlike one for a current account) must be limited to situations where your balance can immediately be verified. An overdraft must not be allowed to arise for a savings account.0

This Clydesdale savings account also appears to come with a debit card (although I have no experience of the Clydesdale so cannot provide personal verification).0 -
